I was born Donna Marie Buckley to Vincent and Helen Buckley in 1965. My life's adventure began in Chicago, Illinois. My family moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin shortly thereafter.

At the young age of 11 years old, my mother died unexpectedly. Destiny brought me to Adirondack Southern, a small private boarding school in St. Petersburg, Florida. I remained a student there until 1980 when I transferred to Pulaski High School in Milwaukee. Florida beckoned my return. I found an extended family at Florida Central Academy in Mt. Plymouth, Florida and graduated in 1982. I continued with my education at Indian River Community College in Ft. Pierce, Florida, graduated, married and had beautiful babies!

Systemic Lupus found its way into being a part of my life years later. Physical fitness and healthful choices allow me to battle this welcomed enemy. Through this battle, I have found some amazing friends. One of whom is my co-author, James Payne.

I now reside in Bradenton, FL with my family, where my roots are firmly planted. I am an adoring mother, grandmother, wife, avid cyclist and advocate for making healthy choices.

I was born to James Thomas Payne, Sr. and Mary Payne in 1958. My journey began in New Brunswick, NJ with many stops along the way.

My dedication to fitness and health began as a student and an athlete at St. Joseph's High School in Metuchen, New Jersey. I played varsity soccer, lacrosse and boxed until I graduated in 1976. After attending Penn State University, I served in the U.S. Army for eleven years as a training officer.

I opened a fitness studio and have dedicated my life to helping others achieve their fitness goals.

I currently reside in Sarasota, FL. I am the proud father of three and continue to promote fitness.
